3. The Love Tacoma organization will talk about Tacoma and quite frankly love Tacoma over discounted food and drinks from 5:30-7:30 p.m. followed by saxophonist Kareem Kandi hosts an open jazz jam at 9 p.m. inside SAX Restaurant and Lounge on Sixth Avenue.

Violinists Maria Sampen and Timothy Christie, cellist Virginia Dziekonski and violist Tom Dziekonski will perform and discuss Dmitri Shostakovich's deeply personal String Quartet No. 8, Opus 110 at 7 p.m. inside the Slavonian Hall in Old Town Tacoma. The concert is free.5. DJ Omar spins at 10 p.m. inside Jazzbones.
